Welcome

Welcome to my blog! I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to 3 elementary aged kids.  To keep myself sane, I love to do projects!  I do all kinds of projects from trying to learn to make my own furntiure and bb gun target shooting holders to sewing home decor and clothes for my two girls.  I thought pink tools mom was an appropriate name for my blog, as I'm constantly correcting people when they come over and mention "how cool" my husband's saw is. Not only is it not my husband's saw, but my husband also would not be able to even correctly tell you the name of the saw.  My husband is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeron, so he's smart and he knows his stuff when it comes to things like science, taekwondo, personal defense, guns and politics.  However, handyman he is not. I also love pink.  When I can buy something in pink or zebra print, I will.  My 9mm pistol used to be pink.  I sold it and bought a smaller .380 gun that has a rainbow effect on it instead.  If I could have bought my miter saw in pink, I would have!

My family and I moved to North Dakota almost 2 years ago right in the middle of the big flood.  Homes were ruined and we were lucky to be able to find an apartment to live in.  We patiently helped clean out others homes and after waiting about a year and a half, we found a home that we just love and suits our needs!  We were so excited and we've been living here for 7 months now.  The problem now, is that while I did do some painting and some minor things, besides redoing our carpet in our basement (into beautiful laminate wood flooring), we really haven't done much in the way of decorating and we haven't bought any furniture yet.  In my next post I'll post some pictures of our house and you'll see how we have 3 cheap computers crammed on a small table and our children do their schoolwork on the floor.  Or how we have one lone couch in our big living room, that we got for free from our neighbor before we moved here.  I hop my blog, not only motivates me to do more decorating and building, but also gives others ideas, motivation, and the knowledge to do many projects of their own!
